Rebecca Michels, M.D. practices preventive and integrative medicine alongside Dr. Kenneth Varano at YoungerMeMD. Dr. Michels helps men and women living with the uncomfortable symptoms related to aging to achieve balance using customized wellness programs designed to address each patient’s unique and personal needs. Using a combination of integrative therapies such as stress reduction techniques, customized nutrition and fitness regimens, pharmaceutical-grade supplementation and natural bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT), Dr. Michels works to improve her patients’ energy levels, sleep quality, sexual health and mental clarity while assisting them in enhancing their overall health.
Dr. Michels transitioned into integrative medicine so that she could focus more on disease avoidance, instead of disease management. Rather than using prescription drugs to manage a multitude of symptoms, Dr. Michels helps her patients correct the underlying issues at their source using preventive techniques to help them live the best life possible. She is a firm believer in the concept that the changes associated with aging can be avoided with a well-balanced lifestyle, and educates her patients on the importance of health to attain optimal wellness.
In 2002, Rebecca Michels, M.D. earned her medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine. After her internship, she completed her residency at Sacred Heart Hospital in Allentown, PA. Dr. Michels is also as an active member of the American Academy of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine where she has completed 200-course hours of integrative training to specialize in all areas of health ranging from endocrinology and cardiovascular disease to environmental exposures and autoimmune diseases.
