You have probably heard of the Vampire Facelift, and we are pleased to offer this revolutionary procedure for women — and men, too — who seek a younger look and smoother skin! You will be delighted to hear that there is no surgery involved whatsoever, and that the entire procedure only takes about one hour. Note that before scheduling the procedure, Dr. Kenneth Varano will fully discuss it with you and determine if it meets your needs. Also note that this procedure is only done on the face.
The Vampire Lift utilizes PRP – Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy. PRP has been used for decades in Europe, and is steadily gaining recognition and popularity here in the United States. It involves a small blood draw, and the entire treatment is painless. Prior to receiving the injection, testing is done to determine the health of your blood and platelets. A CMP (Comprehensive Metabolic Panel) and CBC (Complete Blood Count) test will be the first step. Note that if you have had these tests in the last 12 months, we can use them.
Cosmetic surgery can remove excess skin and make the person appear younger. But, a surgical facelift can be more than what’s needed for some people (especially when loss of shape without extra skin is the main problem).
Hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers lift the skin away from the bone to restore youthful volume and shape. But HA fillers can cause problems near the eye. Also, the injector of HA fillers can chase a wrinkle and create a shape that looks foreign to the person’s face or even foreign to this planet.
The HA fillers do little to improve skin tone and texture.
Juvederm XC is also used in the injection. Think of it as scaffolding for the platelets. It supports the PRP. Initially, results will appear within three days due to the Juvederm. Those results then ebb away, and the PRP rejuvenation begins to appear. The results continue to develop over the next two months. At the two month point, we check with every patient to see how they are doing and determine if anything further is needed. Your Vampire Lift will last from one year up to as much as two years. Results vary by individual.
This procedure also works well for scarring, reducing the appearance of scars. It is known for being effective at removing fine lines and reducing the heavier lines. New cells form and plump your skin, giving your entire face a smooth, more even look. Be prepared for friends and family to ask what you’ve done or notice your youthful appearance.
Unlike most procedures, the Vampire Facelift (R) offers a way of both restoring shape, and improving tone and texture, as well as literally rejuvenating new and younger tissue!
